For many people, the image of China is associated with popular martial arts stars such as Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. With the growing popularity of Chinese martial arts in America, Shaolin Temple, where the Shaolin Martial Art originated, is becoming familiar to many Americans. Shaolin Temple is situated in Henan Province, 13km northwest of Deng Feng country town at the western foot of Mt. Songshan. The Chinese Martial Arts Tour is designed as a low cost tour for students, teachers and other tourists who are interested in learning more about martial arts and traditional Chinese culture.

Our tour also features a visit to Jingyang Gang, where the itinerary is designed according to the description of "Wu Song Killing the Tiger" in the book Water Margin. It goes through four major stages, including (1) Wu Song climbed up the hill drunk; (2) Rest on a Rock; (3) Fight with the Tiger; (4) Paying Sacrifices to Wu Song". Following such a route, tourists can get a personal feeling of the atmosphere when Wu Song accomplished his heroic deeds. The major spots along the itinerary include: the Tavern called "No Passing the Hill after Three Drinks", Notification of Danger of Tiger Put up by Country Fellows, Temple of the God of the Hill, Sleeping Tiger Hill, Spot of Killing the Tiger, Tiger Howling Pavilion, Temple of Wu Song, etc. The best moment to visit Jingyang Gang would be at dusks in summer and autumn. Seeing the high and low sand dunes hide by thick trees and bushes in the dim of eventide, you will feel that you can hear the howls of tigers, and can emerge into the atmosphere as described in Water Margin.
