Getting There

The most common points of entry into China are through Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou (Canton). China Professional Tours coordinates your entry at one point and exits from another, thus giving you the opportunity to experience more of this incredible country. You may also enter and exit China via any of our Asian stopover package cities such as Seoul, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore and Bangkok. Some common U.S. gateways are through New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Atlanta. China Professional Tours has preferential agreements with many fine international air carriers offering our clients special add-on fares from additional cities in the United States. Your tour coordinator will recommend the best routing to suite your itinerary, interests and budget.

What you'll need

Some Asian countries including China require visas, and onward/return tickets in addition to a valid passport good for at least 6 months. A few countries have additional entry requirements. Check with the relevant embassies for current visa information before traveling to any foreign country. You may also take advantage of China Professional's Visa Services. Check with your tour coordinator for more information on this service.

Accomodations

Asia boasts some of the finest luxury hotels in the world. China Professional Tours offers a wide variety of accommodations from the best 5 Star hotels to simpler properties in more remote but beautiful destinations. China uses a strict star system in rating comfort levels. A 5 Star Hotel is considered Super Deluxe, a 4 Star is considered Deluxe and a 3 Star is equal to a First Class hotel. China Professional Tours conducts frequent hotel inspections to ensure that our standards are met for each star rating. Detailed hotel information may be obtained through your tour coordinator and itinerary dossiers.

Making a reservation

To ensure that your choice of departures, tours and hotels will be available, we highly recommend an early reservation. China Professional Tours keeps its group sizes small on purpose, usually no more than 16 to 25 participants per guide and tour leader. In Asia flights and hotels can be sold out even in off-seasons. Kindly refer to our insert card for reservation form and our Terms and Conditions section for deposit and other important information. You may also contact your travel agent or one of our friendly tour coordinators.

Trip Protection Plan

China Professional Tours wants your trip to be worry free. Because your travel experience is a significant investment, we highly recommend our Trip Protection Plan administered by Insure America. Our experienced team has seen this protection plan at work when due to unfortunate surprises luggage gets lost, illness or injuries occur or travel plans have to be cancelled. The China Professional difference

At China Professional Tours we believe that it is the little things that can make a world of difference while on tour. We always have the best interest and comfort of our tour participants at heart. We pair your interests with fascinating itineraries that make you feel like a real insider. For instance, on your Great Wall excursion we take you further out from Beijing, away from the crowds, for one extraordinary experience. China Professional Tours has also pioneered itineraries to off-the- beaten path provinces and out of the way destinations for its clients. Travel to China can be a challenge but with any inconvenience comes the rewards of traveling amidst an ancient culture. Throughout the brochure you'll notice our "To the Journeyer" advisories that assist you in deciding which of our remarkable tours is for you. When you travel to China and Asia we consider you our personal guest and we wouldn't treat you any other way.

Our policy on smoking

In consideration of all our tour participants, China Professional Tours requests that tour members kindly refrain from smoking while in vehicles, at meal times and while touring national monuments and sights. We will always provide breaks throughout the itinerary to accommodate each individual.

Our policy on cultural preservation and the environment

China, or the Middle Kingdom, was closed to tourism for over 30 years. Only since the 1980's have Americans been able to visit its legendary destinations. With the advent of the international tourism industry and its new contacts with the west, China has changed dramatically. As China Professional Tours strives to provide an authentic experience on each of its tours we ask that you take only pictures and leave only smiles. Your guide will introduce you to the ways and customs of the local population in the cities and rural regions. Some areas we visit will be pristine and in pioneering tours to these areas for westerners we feel it is our duty to retain these natural and cultural treasures for future generations.
